Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a
newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, August 6, 2004 and August
13, 2004 a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on Tuesday,
August 24, 2004 at which time the following members of the Zoning
Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James Regan, Robert Nelson and
Marshall Brem and Richard Guerrera.
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the
provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of
Mashpee Zoning By-laws.
Mr. Tony Pola of Capizzi Home Improvement represents the applicant at this
hearing. They are seeking a special permit in order to complete an accessory basement
apartment. They have submitted pictures of the house for the Board's review. Mr.
Nelson mentions that a site plan would be appreciated in order to be sure there is
sufficient parking. Mr. Pola indicates that there is a second driveway and he would be
happy to submit pictures of that or obtain a site plan with that on it. The Board feels that
in this instance, pictures of the driveway would be adequate. The Board of Health has
signed off on this matter. Mr. Ron Ames of 27 Bayview Road is in full support of this
project. The Board moves to grant the special permit.
