Board Members James Regan, Robert
Nelson, Zella Elizenberry, Frederick Borgeson Richard Guerrera and Marshall Brem
were present.
Mr. Regan brought the meeting to order at 7:00
Mr. Nelson read the last minute continued matters.
Meetinghouse Road Chapter 40B —Joe Valle to discuss the affordable houses for"This
Old House" segment.
Joseph Valle, Developer of the Meetinghouse Road Chapter 40B project"River Hill"
addresses the.Board. Bob Villa and "This Old House" segment has begun filming the first
episode that will be aired in late fall. He updates the Board with respect to where they
are with the building process. Mass Housing held the lottery last week and they have
their winners and alternate winners. The Board would have liked to have been invited to
the lottery to see first hand how they work. Mr. Valle apologized for that. Mr. Valle
expects a January finish date for the affordable houses and a February or March of 2005
as a completion date for the market rate homes, as they have sold one of the market rates
homes as well. There are some suppliers that would like donate some materials and
would essentially upgrade one of the affordable houses and he would like to be sure the
Board has no problems with that. Some of the differences may be trex decking,
Simonton windows, wood flooring and crown moulding. The ranch style home will be
the feature home being filmed in the segments. The Board feels this would not be a
problem, but would like to be kept informed as to the progress. Mr. Valle also asks the
board if he can hold off for one more year to apply the top coat of asphalt on the streets
and entrance ways so as not to disturb the look of them with trucks driving over them.
The Board would like a bond posted to ensure it gets completed. Mr. Valle passes around
some of the pamphlets for the board to review and thanks them for their time.
In Re: Harwich Concrete Block, Christopher Cushman: Cadrin Arden, et al., The
Sturgis Landing Trust request a Public Hearing under Section 174-106 of the Zoning By-
laws in order to request revocation of Special Permit (SP-97-35) due to violations of
existing said permit on property located in a C-1 zoning district at 544 Main Street, Route
130 (Map 20 Parcel 24) Mashpee, MA.
•
