Coombs School SP-04-144 A Petition was filed on September 27, 2004 by the Mashpee Public Schools/K.C. Coombs School for a Special Permit under Section 174-5 L(B)(C) of the Zoning By-laws for permission to replace the existing sign at the entryway to the K.C.Coomb School with a new sign on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 150/152 Old Barnstable Road (Map 67 Parcel 2) Mashpee, MA. Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 8, 2004 and October 15, 2004, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at which time the following members of the Zoning Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James Regan, Zella Elizenberry, Marshall Brem, Richard Guerrera and Robert Nelson. The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of Mashpee Zoning By-laws. Elizabeth Hendricks from the K.C.Coombs PTO represents the school for the special permit application. They would like to build a new sign to replace the current outdated sign for the K.C. Coombs school. The Board reviews the picture of the sign and fully supports the decision.
