'i- <br />Town of Mashpee <br />MASHPLE ZONING BOARD EALS 16 Great Veck load JUorth <br />DECISION FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br />Re: Ralph and Susan Cook <br />8 Annawon Road <br />Map 65 Parcel 38A <br />SP — 03-05 <br />A Petition was filed on December 9, 2002 for a Special Permit under Section 174- <br />17 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to construct a garage in an R-3 zoning district <br />on property located at 8 Annawon Road (Map 65 Parcel 38A) Mashpee, MA. <br />Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br />Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Cape Cod Times, a <br />newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on December 27, 2003 and <br />January 3, 2003, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br />A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br />Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board <br />of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III <br />and Robert G. Nelson. <br />The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br />provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br />Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br />Mr. John Slavinsky of Cape & Islands Engineering, represented the petitioner. <br />He is seeking a Special Permit in order to build a garage with a bedroom above it. The <br />original house was permitted for a three bedroom house. Currently, the home contains <br />two bedroom and Mr. Terry Luff, Architect informs the Board that one of the rooms <br />upstairs has a six-foot opening therefore it is not considered a bedroom. The room over <br />the garage as proposed would make this residence contain a total of three bedrooms. <br />The Board moves to grant the Special Permit. <br />GENERAL FINDINGS <br />1. that the subject property is located at 8 Annawon Road and contains 9,375 <br />0 square feet. <br />
