'i- Town of Mashpee MASHPLE ZONING BOARD EALS 16 Great Veck load JUorth DECISION FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 Re: Ralph and Susan Cook 8 Annawon Road Map 65 Parcel 38A SP — 03-05 A Petition was filed on December 9, 2002 for a Special Permit under Section 174- 17 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to construct a garage in an R-3 zoning district on property located at 8 Annawon Road (Map 65 Parcel 38A) Mashpee, MA. Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Cape Cod Times, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on December 27, 2003 and January 3, 2003, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III and Robert G. Nelson. The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of Mashpee Zoning By-laws. Mr. John Slavinsky of Cape & Islands Engineering, represented the petitioner. He is seeking a Special Permit in order to build a garage with a bedroom above it. The original house was permitted for a three bedroom house. Currently, the home contains two bedroom and Mr. Terry Luff, Architect informs the Board that one of the rooms upstairs has a six-foot opening therefore it is not considered a bedroom. The room over the garage as proposed would make this residence contain a total of three bedrooms. The Board moves to grant the Special Permit. GENERAL FINDINGS 1. that the subject property is located at 8 Annawon Road and contains 9,375 0 square feet.
