Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, <br /> lr <br /> a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on December 21 and <br /> r.; <br /> December 28, 2001, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> r Wednesday, January 9, 2002, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board <br /> of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III, Frederick R. <br /> Borgeson and Marshall A. Brem. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> ,s't <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A Section 9 and the Town of <br /> 7J. <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Attorney Jeremy Carter represented the Petition and stated that plans call for <br /> z, <br /> construction of an in-law apartment to the existing home in order to accommodate the <br /> Petitioner's mother. Mr. Williamson and his mother attended the meeting. <br /> A memo from the Board of Health demands that the subject dwelling shall be <br /> YY` restricted to a 3-bedroom home. Mr. Carter informed the Board that the proposal would <br /> remove one of the existing bedrooms in the home and relocate it to the in-law apartment. <br /> The Board questioned if the proposed addition could be moved over two feet, <br /> which would eliminate the need for Variance relief. Mr. Williamson said that the <br /> existing bulkhead presents a problem with the location of the addition. After some <br /> discussion,the Board agreed that the location of the dwelling and an existing bulkhead <br /> and the sloping topography of the subject property dictate the location of the proposed <br /> '/i s: <br />
