Staples SP-00-34 95 Horseshoe Bend Way <br /> Map 40 Block 4 <br /> A Petition was filed on January 3, 2000 by William L. Staples of Hingham, <br /> Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Section 174-20 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission to demolish an existing building and construct a single-family dwelling on <br /> property located in an R-5 zoning district at 95 Horseshoe Bend Way(Map 40 Block 4) <br /> Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> II <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on January 7 and January 14, <br /> 2000, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, January 26, 2000, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board <br /> of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III <br /> and Robert G.Nelson. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Staples represented his application and submitted photos of the existing house <br /> that was built in the 1940's. He stated that his original plan was to make additions to the <br /> existing structure. The engineering firm informed Mr. Staples that the old posts <br /> supporting the structure are decaying and would be insufficient to support any new <br /> construction. <br /> The Conservation Commission has approved the project. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br />
