The <br /> r Conservation Commission and the Shellfish Constable have approved the project. Mr. <br /> x, Slavinsky said that steps down an embankment to the pier, ramp and float are proposed. ,"�•.� <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br /> Mr. Regan moved to grant the Special Permit, subject to findings: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and that the <br /> Board has determined that when the applicant files with the Corps of Engineers, it shall <br /> be considered as execution of the Special Permit. <br /> I <br /> Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership—Requests a Variance from Section 174-38 of +` <br /> the Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the parking space size and dimension <br /> requirements on property located in a C-1 zoning district at 38 Nathan Ellis Highway <br /> (Map 74 Block 20)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership—Requests a Revision to an existing Special <br /> Permit SP-86-04-024, as allowed under Conditions Numbers 1 and 5, for permission to <br /> revise the site plan, landscaping and parking plans on property located in a C-1 zoning ' <br /> district at 38 Nathan Ellis Highway(Map 74 Block 29)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Mr. Douglas Storrs, Vice President of Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership, <br /> represented the application. He said that the applicant is seeking a variance to decrease +t, , <br /> the size of the parking space from a 9 x 20 foot-dimension to a 9 x 18 foot-dimension. <br /> The applicant is seeking a Variance because of the shape, location and size constraints of <br /> the parcel. Mr. Storrs stated that the request for a Variance is similar to dimensions '�,•" <br /> granted to Mashpee Commons L.P. under Variance, V-93-5, for the North Market Street L <br /> property. That Variance granted a reduction of the parking size to 7 x 18 feet. Mr. Storrs '' <br /> stated that the Variance relief being requested is for 9 x 18 foot parking spaces. 4� <br /> Mr. Storrs said that the landscaping and layout of the streets have been modified to create <br /> a small towngreen concept and to reduce motorist speed. He said that high speed j <br /> movement through the parking lot would be eliminated. The travel lanes would remain at a , <br /> 12 feet and the parking spaces would be reduced to a length of 18 feet from 20 feet. <br /> Reconfiguring of traffic spaces would reflect a"net one positive parking space". <br /> Mr. Govoni attended the Design Review Committee meeting and commented that <br /> sidewalks and extensive landscaping are also proposed. <br /> Mr. Storrs said that front entrance and back doors are proposed for all of the stores to <br /> encourage the use of natural ventilation. + <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br /> Ms. Elizenberry moved to grant a Variance of 2 feet from the length of the parking stall j <br /> size (from 20 to 18 feet).
