Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a
newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on January 21 and January 28,
2000, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on
Wednesday, February 9, 2000, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board
of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, Zella E. Elizenberry
and Richard T. The applicant is seeking a Variance to decrease the size of
the parking spaces from a 9 x 20-foot dimension to a 9 x 18-foot dimension because of
the shape, location and size constraints of the parcel. Mr. Storrs stated that this Petition
for a Variance is similar to the Variance granted by the Board to Mashpee Commons
Limited Partnership under Variance, V-93-5, for the North Market Street property. That
Variance approved a reduction of the size of the parking spaces to a 7 x 18-foot
dimension.
Mr. Storrs said that the landscaping and layout of the streets have been modified
to reduce motorist speed.
No comments were received from abutters.
i
i
i
