Board Members present were Chairman Edward i ;r <br /> M. Govoini and Associate Members Richard T. Guerrera,Frederick R. Borgeson and <br /> Marshall A. Brem. Board Member Robert G.Nelson,Vice Chairman James E. Regan III <br /> and Associate Member Zella E. Elizenberry were not present at the meeting. Building , <br /> Commissioner William F. Hauck and Building Inspector Russell W. Wheeler were in <br /> attendance. " <br /> CONTINUED HEARINGS <br /> Lloyd B. &Roberta Gainsboro—Request a Variance from Sections 174-31 and 174-33 J ` <br /> of the Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the sideline setback and front setback <br /> requirements and the setback requirements to the water and wetlands to allow for <br /> construction of a pool on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 15 Keel Way <br /> (Map 120 Block 139)Mashpee, MA. P j <br /> Sitting: Edward M. Govoni, Richard T. Guerrera and Frederick R. Borgeson. <br /> Mr. Wayne Tavares faxed a request for continuance of the hearing until March 8, 2000 to <br /> allow him time to submit revised plans. At the February 23, 2000 meeting, the Board <br /> voted to grant a continuance of the hearing until March 8, 2000. <br /> 1 <br /> At the continued hearings on March 8, 2000, Mr. Wayne Tavares, Tavares Land Design, <br /> represented the applicants and stated that the abutters and the New Seabury Corporation <br /> have been contacted regarding the project. The New Seabury Architectural Design r <br /> Review committee is still in the process of reviewing the proposal. The Conservation ;! <br /> Commission has approved the project. ), Vill; <br /> u <br /> Mr. Tavares said that due to the lot's close proximity to Great River,the proposal would <br /> encroach 8.64 feet on the 50-foot setback from the water and wetlands. Because of the <br /> shape and size of the lot, the pool can only be located in one particular corner of the lot <br /> and a sideline Variance of 12 feet is being requested. A Variance of 1.43 feet from the <br /> front setback requirements was also requested in order to expand the house to <br /> accommodate bedrooms for their growing family. Lot coverage would be less than the <br /> allowed 30%. 1 a <br /> • I• i 1 <br /> Mr. Govoni read a letter from The Little Neck Bay Association voicing its opposition to ' w," <br /> the Board granting a Variance from the front setback requirements. The letter expressed <br /> concern with difficult entrance and egress from the driveway.
