APPEALS 16 great J�eck load JVorth <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> Decision for a Special Permit a <br /> RE: Cape Cod Children's Museum SP-00-131 577 Great Neck Road South <br /> Map 99 Block 34 <br /> A Petition was filed on May 10, 2000 by Cape Cod Children's Museum of <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Sections 174-51 and 174-54 of <br /> the Zoning By-laws for permission to erect signage on property located in an R-3 <br /> zoning district at 577 Great Neck Road(Map 99 Block 34)Mashpee, MA. Owner <br /> of record: Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Cape Cod Times, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on June 12 and June 19, 2000, <br /> a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board <br /> of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III <br /> and Robert G.Nelson. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Ms. Shirley McCormack of Cape Cod's Children Museum and Mr. John Renz of <br /> Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership represented the application. The Design Review <br /> Committee has approved the proposal. <br /> The Board reviewed the engineering plan,photos of the subject lot and the paint <br /> chips. Ms. McCormack stated that the sign would be installed 30 feet from the center of <br /> the road. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br /> I <br /> GENERAL FINDINGS <br /> 1. that the subject property is located at 577 Great Neck Road South and consists <br /> of 6.35 acres of land. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded,the Zoning Board of Appeals voted <br /> F <br /> unanimously on June 28, 2000 to grant the Special Permit to allow for erection of signage <br /> on the subject property at a distance of 30 feet from the centerline of the paving on Great <br /> Neck Road. The Special Permit is conditioned upon compliance with the submitted plans <br /> and the Design Review Committee's requirements. <br /> I i <br /> i <br />
