Mills represented the Petition and requested a Withdrawal of a portion �'�� ii, <br /> of the application regarding a Written finding on the property located at 78 Main Street, " <br /> Map 47 Block 10. Ms. Elizenberry moved to accept the request. Mr. Brem seconded. , <br /> All agreed. <br /> Attorney Mills stated that the Petitioner has attempted to satisfy concerns expressed by <br /> the Board and Mr.Peters since the last ZBA meeting held on August 9, 2000. <br /> Attorney Mills referred to the letter dated August 21, 2000 from the Stratford Ponds <br /> Condominium Trust expressing opposition to the proposed use of the motel as a <br /> "dormitory residence" for New Seabury employees. He said that the motel would not be <br /> used as a dormitory in the traditional sense of a college dormitory. Attorney Mills <br /> clarified that the State Building Code dictates that any room that is occupied for more <br /> than 29 days is no longer considered a motel room. Under the State Building Code,the '�'16.. <br /> room would be considered part of a rooming house or a dormitory. The New Seabury <br /> employees would be staying at the motel for more than 29 consecutive days. The <br /> Petitioner has the option of moving its employees from one room to another every 29 <br /> r� <br /> days or requesting from the ZBA a change in use from an R-1 to an R-2 use. ,,,i1 <br /> Shuttle buses for New Seabury employees would be provided between the Popponesset <br /> Inn and the motel.
