Attorney Mills said that New <br /> Seabury has zero tolerance for drugs and that its employees can be tested for drugs. He „ <br /> also stated those New Seabury Properties plans to make major improvements to the <br /> properties. '°++i�'' <br /> Ms. Cowan challenged Attorney Mills to provide data proving Mr. Vetter's previous '°'jp, <br /> successful operations in other communities. Attorney Mills assured Ms. Cowan that he <br /> could provide the data. Ms. Cowan also asked what kind of improvements would be <br /> made and expressed concern that the new owners would be back asking the ZBA for . <br /> permission to make further expansions on the properties. <br /> Mr. Brem raised the issue of hotel/motel taxes that the-Town would lose with the <br /> proposal and asked the amount of money that the owners have paid to the Town for the <br /> past two years. Attorney Mills said that he would submit documents to the Board that <br /> would prove that the dollar figure is quite low. <br /> Mr. Nelson referred to a newspaper article that New Seabury plans to have facilities of its �iu+� l!,• <br /> own to house employees within 18 months to 2 years and stated that the possibility would <br /> have a bearing on what is proposed for the subject properties. Mr. Vetter said that he is <br /> not aware of any proposal for that in the Master Plan. <br /> lip . <br /> Ms. Cowan asked if New Seabury Properties is asking for a year-round use change. <br /> Mr. Vetter said the Petitioner is only asking for a change in use from R-1 to R-2. Ms. <br /> Cowan repeated that she is opposed to the proposal and that all of Mashpee is being ,tea <br /> over-developed. <br /> Ms. Elizenberry moved to take the Petition under advisement. Mr. Brem seconded.
