The Design Review Committee required modifications to <br /> the building face and to the landscaping plans and has indicated approval of the project. <br /> Per Deputy Fire Chief Sheldon Hamblin requirements,the Petitioner agrees to provide .!hI 311pli <br /> the following: <br /> 1. town water shall be brought to the site. <br /> 2. stored hazardous waste shall be consolidated to one area on the site. <br /> Y • <br /> 3. a floor plan of the storage area shall be submitted. <br /> In compliance with the Zoning By-laws, the Petitioner provided a copy of the application <br /> with plans to the Water Department, steward of the Water District. The Water <br /> Department has no objection to the proposal and requests a list of materials that would be <br /> stored on the site. <br /> IIA11,. <br /> �L. <br /> The Zoning Board of Appeals referred the Petition to the Planning Board, Conservation <br /> Commission,the DPW and the Board of Health. <br /> The proposed single 55-gallon barrel for storage of hazardous waste would be contained " <br /> within the building. A certified remover of hazardous materials would remove the <br /> hazardous waste on a yearly basis. Attorney Mills said that Mr. Russo's operation <br /> disposes of less than 10 gallons of hazardous waste per year. <br /> Mr. Luff, Architectural and Structural Engineer, addressed the Board and stated that the <br /> proposed location of the building doors would face the inside of the courtyard to <br /> minimize the impact of noise and equipment on the community. Maximum height of the L.."' " <br /> building would be 22 feet. Installation of large trees and extensive landscaping are <br /> proposed to screen the building from the adjacent lots. Mr. Luff said that the building <br /> would be a steel structure, plywood faced with vinyl siding. <br /> Attorney Mills said that the Board of Health never mentioned any concerns with the <br /> project and its environmental impact on the area at the initial meeting. Attorney Mills <br /> expressed surprise that the Board of Health now has concerns. A memo from the Board <br /> of Health indicates its approval of the revised septic plans. <br /> Mr. Guerrera questioned the reason for the Petitioner to move his operation to Mashpee. <br /> A competitor auto body shop bought the entire site where Mr. Russo currently rents a <br /> space and has forced Mr. Russo to relocate. <br /> Mr.Nelson questioned how many other parcels would benefit from Town water being <br /> brought to the subject lot.
