Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on September 15 and <br /> September 22, 2000, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> � I I <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, October 4, 2000, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board <br /> of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III <br /> and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> I <br /> This Petition has been continued from the October 4, 2000 Public Hearings. { j <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Michael Grotzke of the Phoenix Group represented the Petition and stated <br /> that the proposal calls for demolition of the existing dwelling and construction of a new <br /> home on the subject property. The proposal meets Little Neck Bay's 30-foot setback <br /> requirement. Extensive replanting is planned for the easterly side of the lot. The Board <br /> i <br /> has granted a Variance from the setback requirements to water and wetlands. <br /> Mr. Govoni read a letter from an abutter, Mr. Steven Croopnick, expressing <br /> concern with protecting the "value, aesthetics and quiet enjoyment of his property. <br /> Mr. Croopnick also stated that he is opposed to the project because of the proposed <br /> elevation of the basement and the height of the first floor. <br /> j � ' <br />
