Crosby SP-01-19 2 Popponesset Island Road i Map 105 Block 267 A Petition was filed on January 18, 2001 by Betty M. Crosby of Mashpee, Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to construct a pier, ramp and float on Popponesset Bay on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 2 Popponesset Island Road(Map 105 Block 267) Mashpee, MA. Owner of record: Douglas R. Crosby, Trustee. Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on January 26 and February 2, 2001, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on ,I Wednesday, February 14, 2001, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III,Richard T. Guerrera and Zella E. Elizenberry. The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of I' Mashpee Zoning By-laws. ' Mr. John Johansen represented the Petitions and stated that the Petitioner received 't and a Special Perna ranted � a Chapter 91 license in 1993. The Zoning Board of Appealsg p p a Variance in 1993 to allow for construction of a pier,ramp and float on the subject Property. The Petitioner is requesting a Variance and a Special Permit to allow for construction of the pier, ramp and float. The Conservation Commission has approved the proposal. No comments were received from abutters.
