Town of Mashpee <br /> ' 16 Great Neck Pvgad Xorth <br /> „VIE MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALSMashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> I <br /> r <br /> Decision for a Special Permit <br /> i <br /> I <br /> RE: Botello Home Center SP-01-112 6 Bowdoin Road <br /> Map 54 Parcel 48 <br /> A Petition was filed on October 10, 2001 by Botello Home Center of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Section 174-51 of the Zoning By-laws to <br /> exceed the allowed size limit to allow for installation of signage on property located <br /> in a C-2 industrial zone at 6 Bowdoin Road(Map 54 Parcel 48) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, <br /> a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 26 and <br /> November 2, 2001, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> I <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday,November 14, 2001, at which time the following members of the Zoning <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III, Robert G. <br /> Nelson and Zella E. Elizenberry. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Paul R. Botello represented the Petition and submitted photos of the proposed <br /> signage. He stated that plans call for the sign to be installed on the silo on the subject <br /> property and would direct customers to the lumberyard. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br /> SPECIAL PERMIT CRITERIA - SIGNS <br /> § 174-51. Plans, specifications and permits. <br /> B. New signs ... All signs over six (6) square feet shall require review and <br /> comment by the Design Review Committee prior to the issuance of a permit <br /> for said sign by the Building Inspector. All signs exceeding twenty (20) square <br /> I <br /> feet require a special permit from the Board of Appeals, in accordance with <br /> Article VI. <br /> i. <br /> In view of the foregoing,the Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals found that the <br /> Petitioner met the criteria necessary for the granting of a Special Permit. Upon motion <br /> duly made and seconded, the Zoning Board of Appeals voted unanimously on November <br /> 14,2001 to grant a Special Permit.
