Spohn SP-99-2 91 Edgewater Road <br /> Map 23 Block 119 <br /> A Petition was filed on November 4, 1998 by Richard I Spolm of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Section 174-25.1.9 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> the construction of a pier, ramp and float on Santuit Pond on property located in an R-5 <br /> zoning district at 91 Edgewater Road (Map 23 Block 119), Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on December 22 and <br /> December 29, 1998, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, January 13, 1999, at 7:30 P.M., at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M, Govoni, Robert G. <br /> Nelson and Richard T. Gueffera. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Spohn represented his application and submitted a new plan drawn by Little <br /> River Boatyard. The reason for the revised plan was that Little River Boatyard <br /> recommended installing a stairway in order to reduce erosion in the area. The steps lead <br /> down an embankment to the ramp and the dock, which will be seasonal. Mr. Spohn <br /> stated that the Conservation Commission and the Harbormaster have approved the plan. <br /> Mr. Govoni questioned if Mr. Spohn needed a stamped, engineered plan. Mr. <br /> Dorgan informed him that a stamped, engineered plan is not required on lakes or ponds. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br />
