(Owner of record: Cherrystones, hic.) <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on April 23 and April 30, <br /> 1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br /> At the Public Hearing on May 12, 1999, MT. John Slavinsky of Cape & Islands <br /> Engineering represented the applicant and requested a continuation of the hearing until <br /> June 9, 1999. This would enable the applicant to make revisions to the proposal <br /> (including building design, building location and landscaping) as recommended by the <br /> Design Review Committee. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday, <br /> June 9, 1999, at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were present <br /> and acting throughout: James E. Regan 111, Robert G.Nelson and Richard T. Gueffera. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. John Slavinsky of Cape & Islands Engineering represented the applicant and <br /> clarified that the application is for the operation of an automotive repair business. The <br /> station will also issue inspection stickers. Mr. Al Cormier and Ms. Karen Parent attended <br /> the meeting. <br /> Mr. Slavinsky stated that the Conservation Commission has approved the project. <br /> He stated that Site Review Committee has reviewed and approved the proposal. <br /> The Board of Health has required the applicant to install a tank and to berm <br /> the entire paved project so that all drainage and any potential oil spills will be contained <br /> on the subject property. Basins with oil-absorbing pads will run into a leeching basin. <br /> The basins will be cleaned and the oil-absorbing pads will be replaced on an annual basis. <br />
