Bellantoni V-99-37 52 Ashumet Avenue <br />Map 41 Block 83 <br />A Petition was filed on April 13, 1999 by Faith H. Bellantoni of Mashpee, <br />Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission <br />to vary the sideline setback requirements to allow for construction of a two -car garage on <br />property located in an R-5 zoning district at 52 Ashumet Avenue (Map 41 Block 83) <br />Mashpee, MA. <br />Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br />Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br />newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on April 23 and April 30, <br />1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br />A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br />Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at which time the following members of the Board of <br />Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III <br />and Robert G. Nelson. <br />This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br />provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br />Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Bellantoni represented their application and stated that their home is <br />situated on a narrow lot. They are requesting Variance relief of only 2.6 feet from the <br />sideline setback requirements to allow for construction of a two -car garage. Mr. Govoni <br />read a letter from an abutter, Mary Belanger, stating that she has no objections to the <br />proposal. <br />No other comments were received from abutters. <br />
