McConnell V-99-58 7 Harbor Ridge Drive <br /> Map104 Block 122 <br /> A Petition was filed on July 7, 1999 by Bert E. and Margaret M. McConnell of <br /> Arlington, Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws <br /> for permission to exceed the 70-foot pier length limit to allow for a 110-foot pier on <br /> property located in an R-3 zoning district at 7 Harbor Ridge Drive(Map 104 Block 122) <br /> Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on July 23 and July 30, 1999, <br /> a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, August 11, 1999 at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III and <br /> Robert G. Nelson. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. and Mrs. McConnell attended the meeting. Mrs. McConnell stated that the <br /> Variance granted by the Board in 1998 expired in June of this year before they could start <br /> work on the project. The Board has granted the applicants' request for a Minor <br /> Modification to the Special Permit(SP-98-70). The Minor Modification to the Special <br /> i <br /> Permit is an improvement that includes a reduction of the pier width from five feet to four <br /> feet and a reduction of the float size from 11 x 18 feet to 9 x 18 feet. <br /> No continents were received from abutters. <br /> 3 <br />
