Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a
newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 22 and October 29,
1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on
Wednesday,November 10, 1999, at which time the following members of the Zoning
Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III, Robert G.
Nelson and Richard T. Guerrera.
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the
provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of
Mashpee Zoning By-laws.
Mr. John Slavinsky represented the petition and stated that the applicant proposes
to relocate the two small cottages on the subject lot. The cottages were built in the
1950's and are encroaching on a neighbor's property. The cottages have two bedrooms
each.
The existing cesspool is located next to the well and will be replaced by a new
Title V septic system.
Mr. Blakeman and his son, James, also attended the meeting. Mr. Blakeman
informed the Board that he wants to avoid any further legal action against him. To
resolve the problem,he decided to pour new foundations, install a new Title V septic
system and relocate the cottages.
