Town of Mashpee
3 s
y16 Great JVeck Poad Xorth
"ABU MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS)'Iashpee, Massachusetts 02649
Decision for a Variance
RE: David W. Almquist V-99-108 20 Wilann Road
Map 46 Block 47
A Petition was filed on October 20, 1999 by David W. Almquist of Mashpee,
Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission
to vary the frontage requirements to allow for construction of an attached garage on
property located in an R-5 zoning district at 20 Wilann Road(Map 46 Block 47)
Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Laurel J. Almquist).
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General
Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a
newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 29 and November
5, 1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on
Wednesday,November 17, 1999, at which time the following members of the Zoning
Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan, Robert G. Nelson
and Richard T. Guerrera.
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the
provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of
Mashpee Zoning By-laws.
Mr. David Almquist represented his application and stated that he proposes to
expand the existing garage into an attached two-car garage with an office above the
garage.
Mr. Almquist informed the Board that he obtained a permit to install a 12x14-foot
shed on his property. However, he was unaware that he needed Variance relief for
permission to install the shed. Mr.Nelson suggested that the Board also grant Variance
relief on the existing shed.
No comments were received from abutters.
