Sylvester SP-99-113 2 Great River Road <br /> Map 120 Block 191 <br /> A Petition was filed on October 28, 1999 by Jeanne G. Sylvester of Hingham, <br /> Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission to construct a ramp and float on Great River on property located in an R-3 <br /> zoning district at 2 Great River Road(Map 120 Block 19 1)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on November 19 and <br /> November 26, 1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, December 8, 1999, at which time the following members of the Zoning <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III,Robert G. <br /> Nelson and Frederick R. Borgeson. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Horace Sylvester represented the applicant and stated that Little River <br /> Boatyard has been contracted to construct the ramp and float. The Mantel family <br /> installed a similar float two lots down from the subject lot. Mr. Sylvester stated that the <br /> existing float is 10 years old and will be replaced. The Conservation Commission has <br /> approved the proposal. <br /> Mr.Hauck confirmed that the submitted plans were acceptable and that the <br /> Harbormaster has granted permission for the installation of a Chapter 91, 10A float. The <br /> applicant is required to petition for a Special Permit from the Zoning Board of Appeals <br /> since she plans to attach the float to a structure on land. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br />
