Town of Nashpee <br /> 16 Great Neck 4(gad JVorth <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> Decision for a Variance <br /> RE: Michael McCarthy- V-98-14 232 Hooppole Road <br /> Map 49 Block 187 <br /> A Petition was filed on January 13, 1998 by Michael McCarthy of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission <br /> to vary the minimum lot size requirement on property located in an R-5 zoning district at <br /> 232 Hooppole Road (Map 49, Block 187)Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Gerald J. <br /> Betro). <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on January 23 and January 30, 1998, a <br /> copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, February 11, 1998 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. <br /> Regan III and Cheryl A. Hawver. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Michael Loumas represented the applicant and informed the Board that the subject <br /> lot was purchased with another lot which was sold in 1990 and that it could not be <br /> combined with any other adjacent land. No comments were received from abutters. <br />
