Madsen -V-98-96 60 Amy Brown Road <br /> Map 115 Block 17 <br /> A Petition was filed on June 8, 1998 by Philip and Christine F. Madsen for a <br /> Special Permit under Section 174-25.1.9 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to exceed <br /> the 70 foot pier length limit to allow for the construction of an 88 foot walkway dock in <br /> Abigail's Brook on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 60 Amy Brown Road <br /> (Map 115 Block 17)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on July 3 and July 10, 1998, a copy of <br /> which is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, July 22, 1998, at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals <br /> were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III, Robert G. Nelson and James M. <br /> Dorgan. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Philip and Christine F. Madsen represented themselves and informed the Board <br /> that they were proposing the location of the walkway dock in a place where a channel in <br /> the marsh has existed for some time. They further stated that the Harbormaster approved <br /> only a dock, not a float; and plans are in the process of being drawn by the engineer to <br /> denote the change. No comments were received from abutters. <br />
