Goodwin SP-98-140 50 Cove Road <br /> Map 6 Block 3 <br /> A Petition was filed on September 15, 1998 by Don F. and Susan N. Goodwin of <br /> Pomfret Center, Connecticut for a Special Permit under Section 174-20 of the Zoning <br /> By-laws for permission to demolish an existing cottage and construct a three-bedroom <br /> dwelling on property located in an R-5 zoning district at 50 Cove Road (Map 6 Block 3), <br /> Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 9, 1998 and <br /> October 16,1998, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, October 28, 1998 at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III <br /> and Robert G. Nelson <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Goodwin represented his application stating that the existing house on the <br /> property lies inside the conservation area and will be demolished, Construction of the <br /> new three-bedroom home will be over 100 feet away ftom the bluff on Wakeby Pond. A <br /> new Title V septic system will be installed. <br /> An abutter,David Rose, expressed approval of the project. No other comments <br /> were received from abutters. <br />
