Clifford SP-98-141 9 Elliot Road <br /> Map 117 Block 129 <br /> A Petition was filed on September 23, 1998 by Stephen J. and Denise M. Clifford <br /> of Dedham, Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Section 174-20 of the Zoning By- <br /> laws for permission to remove an old block foundation and replace with a new concrete <br /> foundation on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 9 Elliot Road(Map 117 Block <br /> 129), Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 9, 1998 and <br /> October 16,1998, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, October 28, 1998, at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan HI <br /> and Robert G. Nelson <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Brian Murphy represented the applicants and stated that the plans are to <br /> remove the existing block foundation and replace it with a new concrete foundation. Mr. <br /> Murphy asked the Board for permission to expand the foundation to 28 feet and move the <br /> building. Building Commissioner William F. Hauck informed the Board that the <br /> applicant could do so if the Board granted the request under Section 174-20 of the zoning <br /> by-laws. <br /> Mr. Govoni read a letter from an abutter,Ms. Dorothy Towne, expressing her <br /> approval of the project. No other comments were received from abutters. <br />
