Williams of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174-32 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> ,permission to construct a single-family dwelling on an unpaved road on property located <br /> in an R-3 zoning district at 34 Coombs Lane(Map 44 Block 35), Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on November 25, 1998 and <br /> October 2,1998. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, October 14, 1998 at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan In <br /> and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws, <br /> Mrs. Williams requested to continue the hearing until October 28, 1998 so her <br /> application could be re-advertised correctly. The ad appeared as follows: Vivian G. <br /> Williams requests a Variance from Sections 174-31 and 174-32 of the Zoning By-laws <br /> for permission to vary the lot size and lot frontage requirements and to construct a single- <br /> family dwelling on an unpaved road for property located in an R-3 zoning district at 30 <br /> Coombs Lane (Map 44 Block 35), Mashpee, MA. <br /> At the continued hearing on October 28, 1998,Paul Merithew of Yankee Survey <br /> Consultants represented the applicant. He stated that Mrs. Williams owns four lots on <br /> Coombs Lane, with a split-level, four-bedroom home on Lot 38. Mr. Merithew <br /> submitted a plan with a proposal to divide the four lots into three lots. <br /> Mr. Govoni acknowledged that the plan was practical, that there appears to be <br /> adequate frontage and that Mrs. Williams has been paying taxes on the lots since 1966. <br /> No comments were received ftom abutters. <br />
