Town qfMashpee <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS 16 Great Aeck q�pad Xorth <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> Decision for a Special Permit <br /> RE: Edward &Debra McLaughlin SP-98-155 177 Hooppole Road <br /> Map 49 Block 212 <br /> A Petition was filed by Edward& Debra McLaughlin of Mashpee, Massachusetts <br /> for a Special Permit under Section 174-20 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to <br /> demolish an existing cottage and construct a three-bedroom home on property located in <br /> an R-5 zoning district at 177 Hooppole Road (Map 49 Block 212), Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on November 20 and <br /> November 27, 1998, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, December 9, 1998, at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. <br /> Regan HI and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Walter Schouler represented the applicants and stated that the proposed <br /> construction will be 100 feet away from the coastal bank. The Conservation Commission <br /> has approved the project. <br /> Mr. Govoni read a letter from abutters, John and Helen Smith, expressing support <br /> of the project. No other comments were received from abutters. <br />
