Trust/ Susan Fort TRS. - SP-97-04 78 Spoondrift Way Map 112 Block 43 A Petition was filed on November 26, 1996 by D. S. Trust/ Susan Fort TRS. of Seattle, Washington for a Special Permit under Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for the construction of a pier, ramp and float on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 78 Spoondrift Way(Map 112, Block 43)Mashpee, MA. Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on January 3, 1997 and January 10, 1997, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Carol H. Jacobson Senior Center on Wednesday, January 22, 1997 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III and Cheryl A. Hawver. This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and Section 174- 25.I.9 of the Mashpee Zoning By-laws. Engineer David Sanicki represented the applicant and reviewed plans for a proposed dock. He explained that much of the lot is saltmarsh and that the 102 foot length is required to protect the wetlands and to maintain two feet of water at low tide at the float location. No comments were received from abutters.
