ryti s= Town of Mashpee <br /> 3 <br /> 16 Great JVeck 1(oad Aorth <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS Mashpee,Massachusetts 02649 <br /> Decision for a Variance <br /> Mashpee Harbormaster's Facilities V-97-17 88 Seconsett Island Road <br /> Map 119, Block 100 <br /> A Petition was filed on January 23, 1997 by the Town of Mashpee-- <br /> Harbormaster's Facilities -- for a Variance from Sections 174-31 and 174-32 of the <br /> Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the front and side setback requirements and allow <br /> access from an unpaved road to a proposed Harbormaster's Building to be constructed on <br /> property located in an R-3 zoning district at 88 Seconsett Island Road(Map 119, Block <br /> 100)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on February 7, 1997 and February 14, <br /> 1997, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, February 26, 1997 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III, Cheryl A. <br /> Hawver and Michael A. Makunas. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and Sections 174-31 <br /> and 174-32 of the Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Engineer David Sanicki represented the applicant and explained that the variances <br /> were required to locate the building away from the wetland areas of a small lot. The <br /> Board was informed that the proposed building will not be a public facility and will be <br /> used as a garage and workshop by the Harbormaster and Shellfish Warden. The plans <br /> have been approved by the Conservation Commission. No comments were received from <br /> abutters. <br />
