Partnership V-97-30 25 Sheffield Place <br /> Map 29 Block 176 <br /> A Petition was filed on March 4, 1997 by Prime Properties Ltd. Partnership for a <br /> Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the sideline <br /> setback requirements in an R-5 zoning district on property located at 25 Sheffield Place <br /> (Map 29, Block 176)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on March 7, 1997 and March 14, 1997, a <br /> copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, March 26, 1997 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, Cheryl A. <br /> Hawver and James M. Dorgan. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and Section 174-31 <br /> of the Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Engineer John Slavinsky represented the applicant and presented plans of an <br /> existing foundation which had been poured 12 feet from the side lot line in error. He <br /> informed the Board that the soil conditions at the site are highly organic and prevented the <br /> placement of the foundation in any other location and that the house on the adjoining lot <br /> has been placed 30' off of the lot line to provide a greater distance between the two <br /> houses. No comments were received from abutters. <br />
