Town of Mashpee <br /> 16 Great JVeck Poad Arth <br /> �eyn u,Eiw Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> Decision for a Variance <br /> RE: Randy Bern V-96-46 10 Wheelhouse Lane <br /> Map 120, Block 156 <br /> A Petition was filed on June 19, 1996 by Randy Bern of Marshfield, Massachusetts <br /> for a Variance from Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to exceed <br /> the 70 foot dock length limit to allow for the extension of an existing dock to 153 feet on <br /> property located in an R-3 zoning district at 10 Wheelhouse Lane (Map 120/13lock 156) <br /> Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Chilton Development Co. Inc.). <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on July 5, 1996 and July 12, 1996, a copy <br /> of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Carol H. Jacobson Senior Center <br /> on Wednesday, July 24, 1996 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. <br /> Regan III and Cheryl A. Hawver. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and Section 174-25 <br /> of the Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Engineer Michael Grotzke represented the applicant and informed the Board that <br /> the existing dock had received a Special Permit in 1987 and that the owner wanted to <br /> extend the dock into deeper water. He explained that the Conservation Commission, <br /> Shellfish Warden and Harbormaster had approved the extension which will provide a <br /> minimum water depth of two feet. <br />
