Town of Mashpee <br /> 16 Great JVeck Aoad Arth <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> Decision for a Special Permit <br /> RE: Plymouth Savings Bank - SP-96-64 675 Falmouth Road <br /> Map 81 Block 36 <br /> A Petition was filed on September 18, 1996 by Plymouth Savings Bank(Agent: <br /> Amidon& Co., Inc.) for a Special Permit under Sections 174-5 LD and 174-55.13 of the <br /> Zoning By-laws to allow one sign affixed to the building to exceed 20 square feet. The <br /> proposed sign is 28 square feet. The property is located in a C-1 zoning district at 675 <br /> Falmouth Road (Map 81, Block 36)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 4 and October 11, 1996, a <br /> copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Carol H. Jacobson Senior Center <br /> on Wednesday, October 23, 1996 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following members of <br /> the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. <br /> Regan III and Cheryl A. Hawver. <br /> Douglas Amidon represented the Petition and explained that the sign will be placed <br /> on the gable end of the bank facing Route 28. He said it would be a 28 square foot sign . <br /> and had been approved by the Design Review Committee. Abutters at the meeting had no <br /> objection to the proposed sign. <br />
