Kanter - V-95-54 6 Kanter Lane <br /> Map 119, Block 1B <br /> A Petition was Sled on June 19, 1995 by James H. Kanter of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission <br /> to vary the front setback requirements to allow for the construction of a 12.5' x 16' house <br /> addition with a front setback of 12.2' from Kanter Way. The property is located in an R-3 <br /> zoning district at 6 Kanter Way. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on July 7, 1995 and July 14, 1995, a copy <br /> of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, July 26, 1995 and continued on August 23, 1995 at 7:30 P.M. at which times <br /> the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: <br /> Edward M. Govoni, Kenneth E. Marsters and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and Section 174-31 <br /> of the Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Engineer Jack Landers-Cauley represented the applicant and reviewed plans for an <br /> addition to the second floor of the house. The Board requested elevations of the proposed <br /> addition which were provided at the August 23 meeting as well as photographs of the area <br /> planned for expansion. Comments were received from abutters in favor of the petition. <br />
