Town of Mashpee <br /> 1. 3 <br /> 16 Great Ack &ad Xorth <br /> ` Abu IV`� Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> Decision for a Special Permit <br /> RE: Maurice and Clara Temple - SP-95-65 47 Beechwood Drive <br /> Map 29, Block 47 <br /> A Petition was filed on November 2, 1995 by Maurice and Clara Temple of <br /> Brookline, Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Sections 174-25.A.8 and 174-17 of <br /> the Zoning By-laws for a pre-existing non-conforming two family dwelling in an R-5 <br /> zoning district on property located at 47 Beechwood Drive (Map 29, Block 47)Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on November 24, 1995 and December 1, <br /> 1995, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, December 13, 1995 at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III and <br /> Cheryl A. Hawver. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 6 and Section 174-17 of <br /> the Town of Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Attorney Rebecca Richardson represented the applicant and informed the Board <br /> that the applicants had purchased the property in 1985 when it was being used and <br /> assessed as a two-family home. She stated that Building Permits had been issued in 1980 <br /> and 1984 for the conversion of the basement to a separate apartment. The Board was <br /> informed that the apartment was less than 750 square feet. No comments were received <br /> from abutters. <br />
