The Plan will be developed with a particular eye towards the management of natural resources. <br /> Mid-March will be the full on public launch. <br /> Due to the summer population that will need to be included, early summer is the planned <br /> preparation stage. <br /> The Plan is expected to be finalized by September, pending revisions and improvements. <br /> Ashley Fisher and shellfish <br /> Ashley Fisher, Director of Natural Resources stated that the DNR and the Shellfish Division are <br /> reassessing the current shellfish plan for nitrogen removal, due to declining water quality, lack <br /> of suitable bottom habitat and other environmental factors. <br /> The DNR is planning to increase seed stock availability, hold aquaculture leases more <br /> accountable and the Mashpee shellfish regulations will be updated. <br /> The plan will include gridding the mooring areas and moving moorings to a more consolidated <br /> area in order to allow growing areas to remain opened year round. <br /> The Aquaculture Research Corporation is currently assessing the waterways looking for more <br /> areas for potential grow out. <br /> The ARC is the sole seed supplier for Cape Cod and will have the capability to grow millions of <br /> shellfish at no cost to the Town. <br /> Once the plan is revised the DNR will meet again with the Select Board and the Sewer <br /> Commission. <br /> Webpage: Ken,Anne and Meredith <br /> Ken Dunn suggested requesting some procedures be put into place as the page is <br /> interconnected to other pages. <br /> Mr. Dunn will distribute a contacts list and categories that will go on it to be reviewed. <br /> Meredith suggested coming up with some type of criteria for inclusion on the list. <br /> Engineers Report <br /> Chris Gallagher went over the viability of the Town owned 8 acre parcel of land. <br /> Mr. Gallagher stated that the parcel is a viable option for a sewer treatment plant. <br /> Mr. Gallagher drew up a Level of Requirements document to distribute to GHD and <br /> Environment Partners Group. <br /> 2 <br />
