10N1•�. <br /> ` ' y11 ToWn of Alaobpee <br /> r'� a <br /> 16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH <br /> MASHPEE, MA 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION <br /> FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> RE: Mashpee Council on Aging SP-94-76 <br /> A Petition was filed by the Mashpee Council on Aging for <br /> a Special Permit under Section 174-54 of the Zoning By-laws to <br /> replace signage at the Carol H. Jacobson Senior Center with a <br /> 36 ' x 48 ' identification sign and a 24 ' x 42 ' special events <br /> sign on property located in an R-5 zoning district at 500 <br /> Great Neck North Road (Map 67 , Block 11 ) Mashpee , MA. ( Owner <br /> of record: Town of Mashpee. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with <br /> Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by <br /> publication in The Enterprise, a newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on September 23 and 30 , <br /> 1994 , a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br /> hereof . <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee <br /> Town Hall on Wednesday, October 12 , 1994 at 7 : 30 P.M. at which <br /> time the following members of the Board of Appeals were <br /> present and acting throughout : Edward M. Govoni, James E . <br /> Regan III and John J . Friel . <br /> Jim Long, Director of the Sentior Center, presented plans <br /> of the sign design and landscape plans o'f the center . Design <br /> Review has approved the signs which will be placed 11 ' from <br /> the road. No comments were received from abutters . The <br /> Building Inspector informed the Board that the Permit was <br /> necessary due to fact that two signs were planned in a <br /> residential zoning district and that each would exceed four <br /> square feet. <br />
