i <br />Board of Appeals Minutes - April 28, 1993 4. <br />Engineer John Slavinsky represented the applicant and <br />presented plans for the replacement of an existing dock. <br />He explained that Conservation had requested that the <br />length be extended by 5' from 17' to 221. <br />Mr. Govoni moved to grant the Special Permit. Mr. Makunas <br />seconded. All agreed. <br />John J. and Mary T. Jordan - Request a Special Permit under <br />Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to <br />exceed 20% lot coverage in an R-3 zoning district on <br />property located at 1 Wilson's Grove (Map 118, Block 101A) <br />Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: J. Friel, M. Makunas, E. Govoni <br />Engineer John Slavinsky represented the applicant and <br />presented plans for the reconstruction of an existing <br />house. Mr. Friel explained that the area has historical <br />precedence and was the first development in Popponesset. <br />Mr. Slavinsky said that none of the houses were less than <br />20% lot coverage. Mr. Friel said area preexists zoning. <br />• Mr. Makunas discussed that the Special Permit was to allow <br />construction on the lot and that the fact that it exceeds <br />lot coverage would only be that it was a non -conforming <br />lot. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Special Permit to allow the <br />reconstruction of a building that will have 23.7% lot <br />coverage. This lot was created prior to zoning that <br />restricted maximum lot coverage. Mr. Govoni seconded. All <br />agreed. <br />Marcella J. Bradshaw - Requests a Special Permit under <br />Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to <br />construct a fixed pier, ramp and float In an R-3 zoning <br />district on property located at 58 Popponesset Island Road <br />(Map 106, Block 25) Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Melvin <br />B. and Marcella J. Bradshaw). <br />Marcella J. Bradshaw - Requests a Variance from Section <br />174-25.1.9 04, the Zoning By-laws for permission to exceed <br />the 70' dock length to allow a 95' length in an R-3 zoning <br />district on property located at 58 Popponesset Island Road <br />(Map 106, Block 25) Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Melvin <br />B. and Marcella J. Bradshaw). <br />Members sitting: J. Friel, M. Makunas, E. Govoni <br />• Environmental Planner Mario DiGregorio and Engineer Roger <br />Michniewicz represented the applicant. <br />
