TOWN OF MASHPEE • Board of Appeals Minutes May 12, 1993 The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, May 12, 1993 at 7:30 P.M. at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present and acting throughout were John J. Friel, Chairman; Michael A. Makunas, Vice Chairman; Edward M. Govoni, Clerk; and Jamie Regan, Associate Member. Building Inspector William F. Hauck was in attendance. Ronald Gatturna - Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.1.9 of the Zoning By-laws for an existing ramp and floats in Ann's Cove in an R-3 zoning district on property located at 74 Summersea Road (Map 105. Block 391 Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Elizabeth I. Fulton). Members sitting: J. Friel, M. Makunas. E. Govoni Engineer John Slavinsky represented the applicant and explained that the owner was seeking an amnesty license for an existing walkway, ramp and float. It is 64' from the mean • high water mark. He said he could not prove it was built before 1985. Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Special Permit. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. Donald Laffert - Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.1.9 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to reconstruct a pier, ramp and float in Ockway Bay in an R-3 zoning district on property located at 146 Summersea Road (Map 105, Block 58) Mashpee, MA. Members sitting: J. Friel, M. Makunas, E. Govoni Engineer John Slavinsky representd the applicant and explained that the Summersea village Association had asked for the walkway to be raised and new plans were submitted. He said Mr. Laffert has given permission for Summersea residents to use the dock. Mr. Makunas said that the owner of the property has the rights and the covenants and association do not concern the Board. Mr. Slavinsky said that Chris Burden of New Seabury will not write a letter approving use of the land until he has the O.K. of the Summersea Association. .1
