0 <br />TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />Board of Appeals <br />Minutes <br />Wednesday, June 9, 1993 <br />The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, June <br />9, 1993 at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present and <br />acting throughout were Michael A. Makunas, Edward M. Govoni <br />and Jamie Regan. John J. Friel arrived at 7:45 P.M. William <br />J. Hauck, Building Inspector, was in attendance. <br />Mr. Makunas called the meeting to order at 7:40 P.M. <br />Members: Mr. Makunas moved to send a letter to the Executive <br />Secretary recommending that the Members whose terms are <br />expiring be reappointed. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. <br />Minutes: May 12, 1993 - Mr. Govoni moved to accept the <br />Minutes. Mr. Regan seconded. All agreed. <br />Discussion: Mr. Makunas explained that Paul Botello was <br />• requesting a minor modification to an existing Special Permit. <br />Mr. Botello explained that he was requesting permission to <br />move the fence to relieve parking congestion. Mr. Makunas <br />asked that new drawings be submitted. Mr. Makunas moved to <br />grant the Minor Modification to allow the petitioner to move <br />the fence providing that the applicant submit documentation <br />and that landscaping be modified to reflect the changes <br />approved by the Design Review Committee. Mr. Govoni seconded. <br />All agreed. <br />David J. and Marcia Holden - Request a Special Permit under <br />Section 174-25.2.9 of the Zoning By-laws for an existing pier, <br />ramp and float in Hamblin Pond in an R-3 zoning district on <br />property located at 62 Bayview Road (Map 119. Block 52) <br />Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: J. Friel. M. Makunas, E. Govoni <br />Engineer David Sanicki represented the applicant and presented <br />plans for the construction of a new dock to replace an <br />existing structure. Mr. Makunas noted that the advertising <br />for the hearing did not include the notice of new construction <br />since this was not on the application form. The Board <br />detemined that the hearing could proceed with clarification <br />that the old structure was to be removed. Comments were <br />received from Conservation questioning the water depth and Mr. <br />• Sanicki explained that he had informed Conservation that the <br />new pier would be used for a 12' Boston Whaler and not for a <br />larger boat which the owner kept at a mooring.
