Board of Appeals Miautes - November 10, 1993 5.
Ray Bowman, an abutter, said he owned three contiguous lots
which he combined for one house. He said neighbors do not
object to one house on the Hooppole Road lot but they want
the two lots on Hilltop Road combined and used for one
house.
Mr. Priestly said he considered it unfortunate that the
owner would have invested in the property and paid taxes.
Barbara Goldman, an abutter, asked if two lots could be
sold as one parcel. Mr. Friel reminded the audience that
the Board could only deal with zoning issues.
Mr. Priestly said the houses were consistent with
neighborhood, lot sizes were consistent with 75% of the
houses in the area. Mr. Bowman questioned the 75% figure.
Mr. Makunas explained that this situation has happened many
times. He said that the by-law was changed without many
people knowing this had 'happened. He said people were not
• aware of the by-law and had purchased lots for their
retirement. He said that in the past the neighbors had
usually supported the applicant.
Mr. Friel moved to take the applications under advisement.
Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed.
Richard E. & Antoinette M. Brooks - Application withdrawn.
E. Thomas Jones -
Continued
from August
25,
1993
Members sitting:
J.
