Block S ) Mashpee .
Massachusetts .
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with
Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by
publication in The Enterprise . a newspaper of general
circulation in the Town of Mashpee . on January 8 and
January 15 . 1993 , a copy of which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof.
A public hearing was held on the Petition at the
Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday . January 27 , 1993 at which
time the following members of the Board of Appeals were
present and acting throughout : John J . Friel , Edward M.
Govoni and Jamie Regan .
Mark McDonnell , Builder , represented the applicant and
informed the Board that the owner planned a house addition
and deck in the front of the house . Comments were received
from Building Inspector William F . Hauck stating that the
house had been built in 1960 and met the zoning and that the
proposed addition would not encroach on the setbacks .
The Board made the following findings :
1
1 . the subject lot is a non-conforming lot given i
existing zoning requirements
2 . under local zoning and state law, non-conforming
lots are granted certain protection from changes in the
Zoning By-laws
3 . the subject lot existed prior to the
establishment of the provisions of Section 174-31 .
fCM FEM ' i
Ir L-8 2 2 1993 D
6, _
