Botello TR. for a Special Permit <br /> A Petition was filed by Paul R. Botello of Mashpee, Massachusetts <br /> for a Special Permit under Section 174-51.D of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission for a sizn to exceed 20 square feet in a C-2 zoning district <br /> on property located at 6 and 14 Bowdoin Road (Map 54, Blocks 48 and <br /> 51) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee <br /> on March 5 and March 12, 1993, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall <br /> on Wednesday, March 24, 1993 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the following <br /> members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: <br /> John J. Friel, Michael A. Makunas and Jamie Regan. <br /> Mr. Botello represented his application and presented plans for <br /> a 15' x 53' foot sign to be used over the main entrance of the store. <br /> The sign had received the approval of the Design Review Committee. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board of Appeals voted <br /> unanimously to grant the Special Permit for the sign referenced by <br /> signed plans from Jordan Sign Company. <br /> The Board found that the use was in harmony with the general <br /> purpose and intent of the zoning by-laws and complied with the <br /> provisions therein. The Board determined that the sign will not <br /> be a detriment to the neighborhood. <br />
