Willis for a Special Permit <br /> SP-93-54 <br /> A Petition was filed by Geoffrey A. and Janet L. <br /> Willis of Mashpee, Massachusetts for a Special Permit <br /> under Section 174-25 . 1 . 9 of the Zoning By-laws for an <br /> existing dock in John' s Pond in an R-5 zoning district <br /> ` on property located at 83 Sunset Circle (Map 64, Block <br /> 6 ) Mashpee , Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance <br /> with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was <br /> given by publication in The Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the ':own of Mashpee on June 25 <br /> and July 2 , 1993, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> made a part hereof . <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the <br /> Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday, July 14 , 1993 at 7 :30 <br /> P .M. at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout : John J. <br /> Friel, Edward M. Govoni and Jamie Regan . . <br /> Mr . Willis represented his application and <br /> explained that he was applying for an amnesty license <br /> for an eight-year old dock which had Conservation <br /> Commission approval . <br /> The Board determined that the structure will not <br /> interfere with free passage of travel by water or land <br /> or cause or contribute to the substantial disruption or <br /> degradation on the marine or coastal environment. <br /> The Board found that the use is in harmony with the <br /> general purpose and intent of the zoning by-laws and use <br /> complies with the provisions of the by-law. <br /> i <br />
