Welch for a Special Permit <br /> SP-93-93 <br /> A Petition was filed by Alfred & Susan C. Welch of <br /> Mashpee , Massachusetts for a Special Permit under <br /> Section 174-25 . 2 . 9 of the Zoning By-laws to license an <br /> existing seasonal dock in John' s Pond in an R-5 zoning <br /> district on property located at 55 Sunset Circle (Map <br /> 64 , Block 23 ) Mashpee , Massachusetts . (Map 120 , Block <br /> 190 ) Mashpee , Massachusetts . <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance <br /> with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was <br /> given by publication in The Enterprise , a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee on October 8 <br /> and October 15 , 1993 , a copy of which is attached hereto <br /> and made a part hereof . <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the <br /> Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday. October 27 , 1993 at 7 : 30 <br /> P .M. at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout : John J., <br /> Friel , Edward M. Govoni and Cheryl A. Hawver . <br /> Engineer John Slavinsky represented the applicants <br /> and explained that no modifications were planned for the <br /> seasonal dock . Conservation had no objections . <br /> The Board determined that the structure will not <br /> interfere with free passage of travel by water or land <br /> or cause or contribute to the substantial disruption or <br /> degradation on the marine or coastal environment . <br /> The Board found that the use is in harmony with the <br /> general purpose and intent of the zoning by-laws and use <br /> complies with the provisions of the by-law. <br /> at <br />
