Tobin of 41abpee
16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH
MASHPEE, MA 02649
L
BOARD OF APPEALS
DECISION
FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT
RE: Jeffrey L. & Cynthia E. Arnold for a Special Permit
SP-93-85
A Petition was filed by Jeffrey L. & Cynthia E. Arnold of
Coral Springs, Florida for a Special Permit under Section
174-17 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to demolish an
existing single family non-conforming home and construct a new
single family home in an R-3 zoning district on property
located at 19 Bluff Ave. (Map 111, Block 146) Mashpee, MA.
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with
Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by
publication in The Enterprise, a newspaper of general
circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 8 and October
15 , 1993, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof .
A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee
Town Hall on Wednesday, October 27 , 1993 at 7 :30 P.M. at which
time the following members of the Board of Appeals were
present and acting throughout: John J. Friel, Edward M. Govoni
and Cheryl A. Hawver.
Engineer John Slavinsky represented the application. He
reviewed plans for a year-round home to replace an older home .
It was determined that the proposed lot coverage would be less
than 20%. The design of the proposed home is similar to many
in the immediate neighborhood.
The Board determined that the planned construction was in
harmony with the general purpose and intent of the by-laws and
complied with the provisions therein. The Board found that
the proposed expansion would not be a detriment to the
neighborhood.
