Hatcher - SP-93-87 <br /> A Petition was filed by Kenneth L. Hatcher of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Section 174-17 of the <br /> Zoning By-laws for permission to expand a non-conforming <br /> dwelling with a 20 ' x 24 ' house addition in an R-3 zoning <br /> district on property located at 20 Elliot Road (Map 118, Block <br /> 115 ) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with <br /> Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by <br /> publication in The Enterprise, a newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the Town of Mashpee , on October 8 and October <br /> 15 , 1993, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br /> hereof . <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee <br /> Town Hall on Wednesday, October 27 , 1993 at which time the <br /> following members of the Board of Appeals were present and <br /> acting throughout : John J. Friel , Edward M. Govoni and Cheryl <br /> A. Hawver . <br /> Mr . Hatcher represented his application and reviewed <br /> plans for a single-story addition containing a bedroom and <br /> bath which would be built within the existing setbacks . <br /> The Board determined that the planned expansion was in <br /> harmony with the general purpose and intent of the by-laws and <br /> complied with the provisions therein. The Board found that <br /> the proposed extension would not be a detriment to the <br /> neighborhood . <br />
