Town of Mashpee- - - - -
P Fire & Rescue Department
,9 99 Nathan Ellis Highway
Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649
508-539-1454
TO Inspection/ Regulatory Depts own of Mashpee
FROM: George W. Baker, Fire Chief
DATE: 11/1/93
RE: Madaket Place
It is my understanding that by recommendation of then Fire Chief Ed Hartin, the
developer of Madaket Place was required to provide water storage for fire
suppression.
As noted in the attached letter, the managers of Madaket Place are requesting
permission to eliminate the water retention pond located at there site. I do not object
to this request due to the fact that a Mashpee Water District fire hydrant is in close
proximity to the property.
I am inclined to grant Mr. Gill's request, but I am unsure which board made this
requirement. Due to this fact, I may not have the authority to make such a ruling.
Please research your records regarding this property and reply back to me if of one
of the Town's regulatory boards has jurisdiction over this matter.
I plan to act on this matter on November 15, 1993.
Thank you.
\J
Town Clerk O '
Executive Secretary Q /
Mr. Gill
