Blythe for a Special Permit SP-92-46 <br /> A Petition was filed by Frederick W. Blythe of Mashpee, Massachusetts <br /> for a Special Permit under Section 174-25.1.9 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission to construct a pier, ramp and float on Popponesset Creek in <br /> an R-3 zoning district on property located at 228 Wading Place Road <br /> (Map 112, Block 59) Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given' to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, <br /> on June 26 and July 3, 1992, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town <br /> Hall on Wednesday, July 15, 1992-at 7:30 P.M. at which time the <br /> I following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: John J. Friel, Michael A. Makunas and Edward M. Govoni. <br /> Attorney William Henchy represented the applicant. He had <br /> explained that the applicant had revised plans -to, reduce the size <br /> of a fixed pier, ramp and floats which had been presented earlier. <br /> He reviewed the..deed of the lot which permitted construction of a dock. <br /> Comments were received from residents of the area and- Mr. Henchy <br /> explained that Mr. Blythe had tried to meet the concerns of all and <br /> that the Conservation and Shellfish Commissions had no objections. <br /> The Board found that the use was in harmony with the purpose and <br /> intent of the by-laws and complied with the provisions therein. The <br /> I, <br /> Board determined that the structure would not interfere with free <br /> passage of travel by water or cause substantial degradation of the <br /> marine or coastal environment. <br />
